I honestly think April is one of the best months to explore the country, find some sunshine and shake off the winter blues. Spring is also one of the best seasons to visit as the weather warms up and flowers bloom.

There are many places worth visiting, where would you choose to go during the April holiday? To help you out, we've compiled a list of the best places to visit in the United States in April.

BEST PLACES TO VISIT IN THE US IN APRIL

1. Bodega Bay, California

When we think of Sonoma Village, we often think of its many wineries. But you'll find more than just a beautiful tasting room in the town of Bodega Bay. You'll also find more outdoor activities during the April holidays.

Bodega Point Peninsula is one of the best places on the West Coast for whale watching, and April is a great time to see these beautiful animals as they migrate north for the winter south. Other outdoor activities in April include canoeing, hiking, cycling and horseback riding.

Best things to do:

  • Enjoy the Catalina Zipline Eco Tour reaching speeds of nearly 40 mph while soaring 600 feet above sea level!
  • Unlock the four-wheel tour to peer into space and explore remote areas that others cannot see.

2. Naples, Florida

April is usually shoulder to shoulder in sunny Miami. Although you may see some spring blooms, Miami is generally quiet in April because the "snowbirds" who came south for the winter have flown back north and the summer crowds haven't arrived yet.

But it's not just the beaches that will make you want to go to Miami in April. Part of what makes this one of the best places to visit in April is that this month marks the beginning of Miami Travel and Museum Month, which runs through May.

Best things to do:

  • Explore the beautiful beaches of the mangroves with a canoe eco tour.
  • Relax on the beautiful white sands of Vanderbilt Beach and watch the beautiful sunset.
  • Visit the Naples Botanical Gardens, with more than 170 acres of protected and planted areas.

3. Texas Hill Country

The Texas Hill Country west of Austin is home to limestone and granite landscapes, and I think it's a beautiful place any time of year. Still, it's late March and a must-visit this month because there are flowers in the area during this period, especially the Texas state flower bluebonnet, as well as primrose and Indian paintbrush.

I also recommend exploring the special cuisine of the region, which has a strong German and Spanish heritage, seen in the architecture of the village and heard in the music. It is also an important wine region with more than 80 wineries.

Best things to do:

  • Walk to Hamilton Lake and enjoy a lakeside picnic before dinner in the spring.
  • Drive along the Willow City Loop as you tour picturesque countryside and bluebonnet fields.
  • Walk the Texas Wine and Wildflower Trail and enjoy a free tasting!

4. Tidal Basin, Washington, DC

Famous is a beautiful spring. When you go to the Tidal Basin in Washington DC you will find beautiful trees that were a gift from Japan in 1912!

trees blossom into a beautiful sea of pink and white flowers; Approximately 70% of cherry blossom trees bloom on the 4th, although peak bloom can be as late as the 18th. Flowering takes about 14 days, but it's worth watching! I recommend bringing your camera!

Best things to do:

  • Enjoy cycling on beautiful trails and many national monuments.
  • Lock up the rowing boat and enjoy a relaxing time on the river.
  • Spend the day at the National Cherry Blossom Festival and enjoy the fun of flowers.

5. Bisti Badlands New Mexico

I think the magnificent owls with their strange stones are worth seeing!

The fossils here are beautiful and new dinosaur species are still being discovered. For example, the "Bisti Monster" was found in 1998 as a new species of Tyrannosaurus rex, and most recently in 2017, when the skull of the odd-looking duck-billed dinosaur Parasaurolophus cyrtocristatus, two species of the species, was found.

Personally, I think this month is a good time to cross the border; Between the cold winter and hot summer, it is very easy to walk or walk on rocks - the temperature here is around 19 degrees - perfect for long walks on foot.

Best things to do:

  • Bisti Badlands Trail and explore the amazing Cracked Eggs rock formation.
  • A unique Instagram-worthy photo of the Alien Throne along the Dream Valley Loop.
  • Explore the short Ah-shi-sle-pah trail and see beautiful Hoodoo views.

6. Na PaliCoast, Hawaii

Everyone knows that Hawaii is the place to go for summer vacation in the United States. Yet many people haven't heard of the Na Pali Coast, Kauai's 17 miles of beautiful beaches that offer spring at its best in March.

You can expect an average temperature of 79°C on land and 75°F in water; so going to the beach will be one of your favorite things to do while you're there. Booking a Na Pali Coast boat tour is a must when you plan a trip to Hawaii. Vacations are spent admiring the beautiful scenery and visiting the most popular attractions, including Waimea Canyon State Park, Koki State Park, Kalalau Lookout, Wailua Falls, and the Avaawapuhi Trail.

Important thing I need to do

  • To see the island from a different perspective, take a helicopter ride and see the beach view.
  • Kayak around Hanalei Bay and watch the sunset while enjoying a delicious meal.
  • Feel the excitement as you zipline through the untouched forest.

7. Miami, Florida

Miami is a world-class resort with something for everyone, from hobbyists to golfers, from shoppers to nightlife enthusiasts.

The weather is always hot and humid but I think it's a good time to visit because it's a bit cooler, there's less rain and the temperature can reach 26 degrees. I recommend celebrity watching at South Beach (or the Hideaway in Coral Gables) and exploring the Everglades or other protected areas like Big Cypress. South Beach is also a must-visit place for Art Deco enthusiasts. Afterwards, you can visit modern beaches or head to other quiet places like Bal Harbor or North Beach.

Best things to do:

  • Take a once-in-a-lifetime helicopter ride overlooking the Miami skyline.
  • Spend a day at Sunny Isles Beach and enjoy swimming, diving and water sports in the cool waters.
  • Tour Miami's most famous movie theaters.
